1. Who we are and accepting these terms
The Binderim Data API ("the API") is provided by Croone LTD, a company registered in England and Wales ("Binderim", "we", "us"). By creating an API key or buying a plan you agree to these terms. If you use the API for a company or another person, you confirm that you may agree on their behalf. You must be able to enter into a contract where you live.
Your use of your Binderim account is also covered by the Binderim terms of service and privacy policy.
2. Plans and what you may use the data for
The API has three plans: Free, Pro and Business. What each one includes is on the pricing section of the home page and in the documentation.
- Free and Pro are for personal use and for development. That means your own projects, hobby and community projects that earn no money, learning, and building and testing something before you launch it.
- Commercial use needs the Business plan. Commercial use means using the data in a product or service that earns money, or in the course of a business: for example a paid app, a shop that uses the prices to sell, a service you charge for, or a tool for your company.
- On any plan you may show the data to the people who use your own product. You may keep the data you receive for as long as you need it for that purpose. The Business plan includes the weekly bulk files.
3. What you may not do
- Resell or hand on the raw data. You may not sell, rent, license or give away the data as it is, whether as a feed, a file, a download, a dataset or your own API that simply passes our data on.
- Build a copy or mirror of our catalog or prices, by downloading it in bulk or by any other means. The one exception is the weekly bulk files of the Business plan: you may keep those to use in your own product or service. The ban on reselling or handing on the raw data in the first point applies to these files too.
- Share your API key, put it where others can read it (browser code, public repositories, apps you give away), or use several accounts or keys to get around a quota. You are responsible for everything done with your key.
- Get around, test or overload our limits or systems, or use the API in a way that harms the service or other users.
- Use the API for anything unlawful, or suggest that Binderim endorses you or your product.
- Remove or hide the attribution when it is required (see the next section).
4. Attribution
On the Free plan you must show the text Powered by Binderim, as a working link to https://binderim.com, clearly visible wherever you show our data. The exact text is returned in meta.attribution in every answer. Pro and Business have no attribution requirement.
5. Quota, availability and changes to the API
- Each plan has a daily quota and a per-second limit. The limits are in the documentation and are returned in the
X-RateLimit-*headers. When you go over a limit, requests are refused until it resets. - We work to keep the API running, but we do not promise any level of availability. It can be slow, unavailable or under maintenance, and it is provided "as is".
- We may change the API. For a change that would break a working program we use a new version, and we give notice before the old version is switched off.
6. Accuracy of the data
Prices come from third-party markets and feeds and from sales on Binderim. They are a guide, they can be late or wrong, and they are not financial advice. Card details and the descriptions in the AI block may contain mistakes. You decide what to do with the data and you do so at your own risk.
7. Trademarks and other companies
Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Disney Lorcana, Digimon, Riftbound and other names, card images and artwork belong to their owners. Binderim is not affiliated with them and they do not endorse Binderim or the API. You are responsible for having the rights you need to show card images and names in your product.
8. Payment, renewal and taxes
- Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, in pounds (GBP) or US dollars (USD), through our payment provider Stripe. The yearly price is ten times the monthly price. You pick the currency when you buy, and it stays the same for your subscription.
- The prices we show do not include VAT or other taxes. Where tax applies, it is added at checkout and shown on the invoice. If you give a valid business tax number, we apply the rules that go with it.
- A subscription renews by itself each period until you cancel. Stripe sends the invoice and you can see your invoices, update your card and your details in the billing page.
- If a payment fails, Stripe tries again for a while and your plan stays active meanwhile. If it still fails, your account goes back to the Free plan.
- Changing plan: going up starts at once and you pay the difference for the rest of the period; going down, or to a shorter period, starts at the end of the period you have paid for.
- The Business plan is at a launch price. A subscription keeps its price for as long as it stays active. If you cancel and come back later, the price of that day applies.
9. Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel at any time in the billing page. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and then your account returns to the Free plan with the lower limits. We do not refund the unused part of a period, except where the law says we must or where we made a mistake. Deleting your Binderim account cancels the subscription straight away without a refund.
10. Your right to cancel when you buy as a consumer
If you buy as a consumer (not for a business), the law may give you the right to cancel a distance contract within 14 days. The API starts working as soon as you pay. When you buy, you ask us to start the service immediately and you confirm that, where the law allows, you lose your right to cancel once the service has been fully provided. If you did cancel within the 14 days, you would pay for the service you have already used. We record your confirmation when you buy. This does not take away any right that the law does not allow to be taken away. If you buy for your business, there is no such right.
11. Suspension and ending
You can stop using the API at any time by revoking your key. We may suspend or revoke a key, and end your access, if you break these terms, if your use puts the service or others at risk, or if a payment is not completed. We will try to tell you why, but we may act first where we need to protect the service.
12. Our responsibility
Nothing in these terms limits a liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Apart from that, and as far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for lost profit, income or data, and our total liability for anything connected with the API is limited to what you paid us for the API in the twelve months before the claim.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version is shown at the top of this page. When the terms change, a key that already works keeps working, and we ask you to accept the new version before you create or replace a key or buy a plan.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can decide any dispute, except that if you are a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and the right to bring a claim in the courts there.
